This Instructor's Manual is part of the series of entrepreneurial training materials developed by Bayan Academy and Center for Community Transformation for the Entrep-Eskwela program. The program seeks to provide knowledge and skill-building activities that would equip participants with the proper entrepreneurial character, values, and thinking. This material, in particular, compiles all the necessary program materials and lectures for Days 4 and 5 of the program which focus on macro-environment evaluation through external and internal assessment. The manual is intentionally split into two modules, each tackling the varying kinds of assessment that an entrepreneur should consider. The first module talks about external assessment and how it is being applied in an entrepreneurial manner. It tackles the ways on how to look into matters like social, political, economic, and ecological factors in order
to profile the kind of market, conditions, and competition the entrepreneur enters himself into. On the other hand, the second half of the manual largely pertains to internal assessment, thus topics on how to gauge company success is taken into consideration. In the simpler sense, this module aims to help the entrepreneur have an idea of his or her companies general performance, capabilities, management, and productivity among others.
This manual contains lecture notes and a number of case materials for the use of the instructor. Teaching notes stating the suggested steps on how to use the materials are also provided in each of the modules.
