Abstract

The source material, born out of NATCCO's experience and expertise with cooperative management, discusses and walks the readers through concepts and procedures on collateral appraisal, specifically those for real estate properties and vehicle assets. This is to equip cooperative members with skills and information on appraisal and value concepts. Through NATCCO's "four-step" appraisal process from pre-inspection procedures, government agency checking, ocular inspections of property, to analysis or finalization of appraisal reports, the material attempts to simplify subject in layman's term. With aid of illustrations and document examples, the reading purposefully provides a visual guide for appraisers, even cooperative leaders, on how to spot for property quality based on technical, economical, and government policy standards.
