How do we collect these data?
Most of the data that we collect are not obtained directly from you. As a provider of technology, financial, training and consultancy services to coops, your data is collected and processed by NATCCO when you:
Open and transact your accounts with your coop that is using the shared core banking system and payment platform
Receive dividends and patronage refund from your coop
Register and participate in our training activities, general assemblies, meetings and other events
Fill out and submit forms (online or physical) or respond to inquiries on behalf of your coop
Voluntarily complete a survey
Share your social media posts with our social media accounts
How will we use your data?
NATCCO collects and processes the data you have directly or indirectly provided to us through your coop to:
Enable your coop to maintain your accounts and process your transactions using the core banking and digital payment services provided by NATCCO
Assist your coop to comply with regulatory and legal requirements such as the Credit Information Systems Act that are needed to support you and protect your interests
Respond to any requests, feedback, or complaints
Analyze and gain insights from the way you use our products/services or how your coop uses our services to serve you
Send you statements, notifications and other communication about your transactions or the products/services you have availed as well as any significant updates that you need to know
Offer, sell or market new products/services to you
Enhance your customer experience as a coop member of the network
Exercise appropriate action in the performance of contracts or where necessary, establish or defend our legal claims or protect our legal rights
NATCCO uses third-party services to host and process your data especially those pertaining to accounts with your coop. We may share your data with them. We will ensure that your data is secure and protected during this sharing process. This will help improve the delivery of our services and refine the overall customer experience.
We will not disclose your personal information to any unaffiliated third parties without your consent.

Your access and rectification rights
Right to access – you have the right to access and request for copies of the data we have about you for a reasonable fee
Right to rectification – you have the right to request for correction on any information about you which you deem to be incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete.
