Abstract

The secretary's role in a cooperative is very vital as it involves the tasks of overseeing, organizing, and managing organizational records. In order to help those coop members, staff, or officers who are into or aspire to take on the role of the secretariat, this material provides a walkthrough on the roles and responsibilities expected such job. It teaches the interested readers how to manage paperworks, how to write minutes during meetings or assemblies, and the necessary knowledge on how the cooperative works, its  structure, policies and governance. In addition, this handbook also gives an illustration of the common documents used in the cooperative (i.e. director's handbook, BOD resolutions) for them to understand the their respective purposes and usage.
