The NATCCO Knowledge Resource Center (KRC) is the research and development arm of the Cooperative Academy of NATCCO (CAN) and provides education and training for cooperative members. Programs offered by the KRC include the Cooperative Leadership and Management Program (Co-op LAMP), the Strategic HR Management Program (SHRMP), and the Learning Methodologies and Materials (LMMD) program. Additionally, the KRC conducts training programs in partnership with the Asian Confederation Credit Union (ACCU) to build transformative leaders. Recent training programs covered Human Resource Management and increasing creativity in co-ops. NATCCO also features stories about successful cooperatives like St. Martin of Tours Credit and Development Cooperative, which began in 1970 with 500 members and now has over 44,000 members and 1.8 billion in assets. The cooperative has implemented programs like the Credit Delinquency Control and Collection and invested in Gerry’s Grill and the Wide Area Networking (WAN) Project. NATCCO also highlights the achievements of National Speaker Ms. Leslie Esternon, who is a well-rounded individual with expertise in financial analysis, personal finance, and business strategic planning.
