Given the lack of comprehensive, standard conceptual framework on resource mobilization, the Aga Khan Foundation tried to address the gap by requesting the author to create a handbook that would act as a material for civil society organizations or CSOs (as identified by CIVICUS) on how to properly and efficiently utilize their available resources. The handbook, accompanied by a trainer’s manual, consists of proven ways and methods on how to access existing wealth, generate new wealth, and mobilize non-financial resources.

This material would greatly benefit Southern and Eastern CSOs, as well as those interested in resource mobilization, as the suggested methodologies and concepts were based from the good and bad practices by the author-practitioner.
