To build competency among possible trainors of GSTs (gender sensitivity trainings), NATCCO created and published an elaborate guide on how to give illustrative, engaging, and effective trainings to help trainors educate cooperative members and leaders on how to recognize gender gaps and issues present within their own organizations. Composed of three modules, this manual aims to instill and prepare the trainor in delivering the training module while being conscious about the capacities of his or her own audience. Based on the conceptual framework, the course is mainly designed to equip the trainor in (1) on how to educate the participants in connecting with their genders on a personal level and (2) on how to raise awareness and action among coop leaders and members especially on gender-specific issues. Some examples, as well as suggested group and individual activities per module are presented to help the trainor develop not only the knowledge and skills, but also the attitude of the participants through experiential learning.
