Abstract

This Instructor's Manual is part of the series of entrepreneurial training materials developed by Bayan Academy and Center for Community Transformation for the Entrep-Eskwela program. The program seeks to provide knowledge and skill-building activities that would equip participants with the proper entrepreneurial character, values, and thinking. This manual, in particular, aims to assist program facilitators in creating  administering seminars on human resource management. This is to equip current or possible entrepreneurs on how to properly lead, empower, and multiply their people. The program sessions, as documented in this manual, offers lessons on the 5M's of managing people or the "limang paraan ng pamamalakad ng tao sa isang  negosyo o samahan". The training manual also introduces the concepts of “pagpapakilos", "pang-uudyok o panghihikayat", "pagpapayo, pagsasanay at paghuhubog", "pagsusukat ng potensyal, partisipasyon, at paggawa" ng isang manggagawa, and "pagsasama at pag-uugnay" together with the processes that go along with each of the mentioned concept. Such effort of introducing the 5M's in human resource management through this manual gives a brief but complete take on how the company, the entrepreneur, and his people should be treated in terms of their working needs, capabilities, and relationships.

Lecture slides on topics related to human resource management and module objectives are stated in each section of the manual. Teaching notes are also provided to guide the facilitator on when, how, and what to relay to the participants regarding the topic of interest.
