Abstract

Made to guide cooperatives on parliamentary procedures, the handout expounds on the various factors that entail how parliamentary procedure works. This is facilitated first through discussion of the definition of parliamentary procedure. The material also expounds on the basic rules of parliamentary procedures through explanation in detail of the order of business, classes of motions, and how to effectively facilitate amendments. Finally, the material provides the reader a chance to be able to put into use their learning from the handout. This is achieved by a guiding workshop found towards the end of the material. The workshop gives practice situations the learner can ponder upon and then gives them guiding practices to evaluate upon their learning application.
