Abstract

This manual offers a complete program for agricultural cooperatives on how to handle their farm products, particularly “agri-cooperatives” coming from the third world countries with managerial staff who lack the technical and other important functional skills for their farming businesses. In particular, this material equips coop leaders on the general tasks of agri-cooperatives on produce collection and reception, together with a rundown of pressing issues and challenges that can stall these cooperatives from accomplishing their expected responsibilities. Also, this material intends to guide managers not only on how to recognize internal problems in terms of operations (like flaws in system of handling crops them or the overall logistics involved in the collection process) but also external factors that cause or influence the system (like fraud in terms of grading the “value” of the coop’s produce). By equipping coop leaders on how to effectively deliver and formulate activities on this particular topic, they could effectively educate and strategize with their members on how they must react to this process. The group, then, would be able to define their own needs and creatively re-fashion their procedures and systems to ensure the freshness, viability, and safety of their agricultural products.
