Abstract

The Aflatot Manual is a trainer's guidebook which is dedicated for the use of educators who wants to involve or are involved in teaching and developing the kids' awareness and knowledge on dealing with social and financial aspects of life. The manual is largely based from Aflatoun which is a balanced social and financial education curriculum that seeks to train people on how to handle their money by being aware of their personal and environmental circumstances.

In the context of early childhood learning, the Aflatot Manual aims to adapt the Aflatoun method in a whole new different approach that caters to the child's learning abilities and creative minds. The manual itself features a lot of outdoor activities, craft making, group activities, role playing, and groupworks that emphasize what is "value" and how it relates to understanding oneself, others, and how money should be viewed. It also educates the children on how to spend, save, and share. The manual is not only focused on classroom learning, but it also includes neighborhood visits and parental involvement in order to increase children's familiarity and appreciation of real-life scenarios that relate to their lessons.
