ONE BEAT, ONE COMMUNITY, ONE RUN! United Colors of NATCCO Fun Run 2026
What could be better than waking up to a fresh morning, lacing up your running shoes, and hitting the ground running? Doing it alongside people who share your goals, your energy, and your passion for community!

The spirit of unity, wellness, and cooperation took center stage as the National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO) successfully held its very first fun run, the United Colors of NATCCO Fun Run 2026, on October 17, 2026. Bringing together 1,600 participants across Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao, the event celebrated the power of movement, camaraderie, and the cooperative spirit that brings people together.
The event carried even greater significance as it became part of a larger celebration of the cooperative movement and its lasting impact on communities. As part of the Cooperative Month and the observance of International Credit Union Day, the fun run reflected the values that continue to drive cooperatives and credit unions forward: solidarity, financial inclusion, and collective progress. It also added to the growing excitement as NATCCO approaches its golden jubilee in 2027, honoring five decades of empowering cooperatives and transforming communities. Together, these milestones served as a reminder that, much like every step taken during the run, every effort toward a stronger cooperative movement brings us closer to a shared future.
The festivities opened with preliminaries that set the tone for a meaningful and energetic gathering. Grounded in the values of unity and cooperation, the opening activities brought participants together and built excitement for the day’s main event. With the presence of NATCCO representatives across the participating areas, including Ms. Lilybeth Q. Liguden, Board of Directors member, in Manila; Sharon Marie S. Dy, Incoming CEO and Rey Labasano, NATCCO BOD Member in Davao; and Romulo Dex F. Lumawig, III, NATCCO BOD Chairperson in Iloilo Leg, participants came together with enthusiasm and a shared readiness to take on the challenge.
Warm-up exercises, upbeat music, and race briefings further energized the crowd, helping participants prepare for the run while keeping safety and race guidelines in mind. With spirits high and running shoes ready, everyone geared up for a morning of fitness, fun, and fellowship.
The starting line marked the beginning of an exciting day of movement, determination, and shared experiences. Participants took on the 3K, 5K, and 10K race categories, challenging themselves at their own pace and embracing the joy of an active lifestyle. Beyond the distances covered, every stride reflected the determination of each runner and the sense of community that makes the cooperative movement stronger. Across Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao, participants shared a common goal: to stay active, strengthen connections, and celebrate the spirit of cooperation—one step at a time.
The excitement continued even after the race! In Manila, the festivities carried on at Bridgetowne, Pasig City, where participants enjoyed a Zumba session led by Green Media Event, NATCCO’s event partner. The lively cooldown brought everyone together once more, keeping the energy high and the celebratory atmosphere alive. The Manila program also featured three raffle draws, adding another layer of excitement as participants awaited the announcement of winners and enjoyed the festivities beyond the finish line.
Behind every successful event is a community of partners whose support helps turn plans into reality. Before the awarding ceremonies, NATCCO recognized the sponsoring cooperatives whose contributions helped make the United Colors of NATCCO Fun Run 2026 possible. Their support exemplified the spirit of cooperation in action—organizations working together toward a shared goal and creating opportunities for communities to connect through meaningful initiatives.

As the winners stepped onto the podium, fellow participants celebrated their achievements, recognizing the discipline, determination, and perseverance behind every finish. The awards highlighted not only speed and performance but also the dedication it takes to rise to a challenge.
In Manila, the program also recognized the Largest Delegation Award, presented to the Manila Shared Services Employees Credit and Savings Cooperative in recognition of its strong group participation. The special award underscored the value of collective involvement and the enthusiasm that comes from moving forward as one community.
As the festivities drew to a close, words of gratitude and appreciation marked the end of NATCCO’s inaugural fun run. More than a gathering centered on fitness, the event became an opportunity for cooperatives, colleagues, and communities to come together in the spirit of fellowship, wellness, and solidarity.
