The transition of a cooperative from the “brick and mortar” type of business to a virtual and online environment starts with the understanding of the basic foundation. It deals with the organization’s current “baseline numbers” and condition of personnel, technology and policies related to Information and systems technology, personnel, infrastructure.

Opening the doors for online business transactions also opens the doors for cyber criminals. They can steal costumer data and ruin reputation. The threat can be internal, too, such as a disgruntled employee sabotaging everything you built for years in seconds. Bottom line: technology is useful, but it’s also vulnerable. It’s something many don’t recover from. That’s why organizations must do an IT audit to make sure their data and network is safe from attack including its strengths and limitations. It will identify what the organization need to become an online player. An IT audit might be the only thing standing between success and failure. This course provides the more than basic foundation of conducting the IT and Systems
